Three documents govern the service. Each is written against what the software actually does rather than a template.

• Terms of ServiceThe terms on which organisations are assessed and rated, auditors carry out reviews, and anyone may use the public registry.
• Privacy PolicyWhat personal data we hold, why, who can see it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.
• Cookie PolicyEvery cookie and storage key the service sets, generated from the same register the consent dialog reads.

A published rating is an independent auditor’s opinion on the evidence an organisation submitted about one AI system, at one point in time. It is scored against our published methodology.

It is not a certification of conformity with the EU AI Act, not legal advice, and not a continuing guarantee about the system. Ratings are point-in-time: each carries the date it was issued and a registry reference, so anyone can look up the record as it is published.

Sustain AI Index is an independent commercial AI assessment and rating service. A rating is not statutory certification, regulatory approval, a notified-body decision, or legal advice.

The service is offered to businesses. Contractual disputes are governed by the Terms of Service, any applicable order form, and Norwegian law, subject to mandatory law. We do not link to the former EU Online Dispute Resolution platform because it has been discontinued.
